Support for The Cup Collective continues to grow in Brussels

The Cup Collective, an innovative recycling programme aimed at accelerating industrial-scale paper cup recycling and regeneration, aims to recycle half a billion paper cups in its first two years and scale up to significantly increase recycling rates across Europe.

Only a month after it was announced, the initiative has now gathered support from the Belgian national railway company (SNCB). Flagship outlets in prime locations across the city have also confirmed their partnership, as have a wide range of outlets in Brussels-Midi and North railway stations and the City 2 shopping centre.

“The launch of The Cup Collective is a milestone in sustainability. It is time for others to join the initiative and show support for this collaborative approach to make paper cup recycling an easy, everyday occurrence. We now have the technology to facilitate industrial scale recycling of paper cups and are calling businesses to get on board and become part of The Cup Collective solution” said Peter Goodwin, Managing Director and Co-founder of co-cre8, a UK-based company with a decade’s experience in planning and managing recycling programs around Europe, which is running the initiative.

The Cup Collective will formally launch in Brussels on 7 December with a breakfast event to be hosted at Le Grand Central in Brussels. Those with an interest in joining us at the event and taking part in this exciting new programme should make contact by e-mailing hello@thecupcollective.eu
